RHA’S National Lorry Week returns for 2022

From 24 to 30 October, the Road Haulage Association will be holding its eighth National Lorry Week. As part of the campaign, the association will set out on a month-long roadshow kicking off in Peterborough on October 3, before travelling across England, Scotland and Northern Ireland to celebrate the role and importance of the UK’s road transport. P W Gates bolsters fleet with three DAF XG 530 tractors

Hertfordshire-based P W Gates is strengthening its fleet with the addition of three new generation DAF XG 530 tractor units as part of the company’s expansion plans. The logistics firm, which is based at Welwyn Garden City, is adding the three tractors to eight other DAF units acquired earlier in the year. The new additions, supplied by Harris DAF Lea Valley’s truck sales division, will help manage the growing order book of the family-run business and bring the fleet size to more than 50 vehicles and around 90 trailers. Switch to Vigo Satnav before new law potentially comes into place

Councils are calling on the Government to take urgent action and use its forthcoming Transport Bill to require all HGV drivers by law to use truck-based satnav devices rather than domestic satnav. Prestige Distribution invests £1.8M in new warehouse and offices

The owner of growing Sussex logistics company Prestige Distribution has taken the advice to build his business quite literally – after constructing his new premises himself from the ground up.
