Croydon haulier expands fleet with £1.5 million investment

A Croydon logistics firm is driving into a new era after investing £1.5 million in 10 new vehicles. ELB Partners, which is based on Beddington Farm Rd, has increased its fleet to more than 70 after purchasing eight new rigid trucks, two new articulated units and three new trailers. The 53-year-old firm has invested heavily in the installation of additional safety equipment in the new vehicles, including the very latest AI cameras and telematics technology from VisionTrack. Pallet-Track celebrates 30 million milestone with latest consignment

The Wolverhampton-based pallet network has moved 30 million consignments, without losing a single pallet in the hub. Pallet-Track has just handled the milestone consignment at its central hub on Millfields Road, after moving 56 million individual pallets during its 19 years of operation. Over 50 golfers teed off for a great cause and raised £6,360 for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity at Pallet-Track’s annual golf day. RHA welcomes Department for Transport’s announcement on longer semi-trailers

The RHA has welcomed the announcement that longer lorries will be allowed on Britain’s roads. Lorry trailers up to 15.65m long will be permitted to be used from 31 May under legislation being laid in Parliament today (Wednesday 10 May). ELB Partners in Croydon is on the hunt for its next HGV recruit after launching its 2023 driver training scheme. TEG Road Transport Price Index shows haulage prices picking up pace

Haulage prices have risen by 3.6% in the past month, resulting in an all-time high price-per-mile in April. Despite double-digit inflation, interest rates are expected to increase for the 12th consecutive month. In April, the combined price-per-mile for haulage and courier vehicles soared 2.7% to reach its highest-ever level for the month. Aztek’s empire still strong after 20 years

Aztek Logistics has praised its staff and the loyalty of its customers as it celebrates its 20th anniversary.
