As a young growing business the volume of jobs being handled on a daily basis was increasing, Jet Express needed a better way of handling individual jobs and consolidating jobs into runs for the drivers.

“We had been managing our work with Google Sheets and Excel, we needed a solution to enable us to work more efficiently and improve communication as well as something that was quick to learn and future proof” said Mick Cox, Transport and Operations Manager of Jet Express.

“We had never used a Transport Management System (TMS) before so we were looking for something that would be easy to implement and required minimal training” said Mick. “Some of our staff had used the Vigo TMS before at previous employment so were very familiar with how the system worked. Having approached other software suppliers we decided to choose Vigo Software as they were able to work with us to grow piece by piece. The Vigo system was easy to learn and the new system planning tool is excellent” he added.

Since the implementation of the Vigo System Jet Express have been able to work more efficiently and improve communication with their drivers. “The WMS and TMS systems work seamlessly as we are growing on both sides of the business” comments Mick. “We are seeing an approximate time saving of 30% of the day for each of our employees and the Online Portal for the TMS and WMS are a big selling tool for our customers”.

Jet Express also report that customers are able to easily and quickly retrieve PODs therefore reducing time spent contacting their office.
