We are currently seeking to recruit an Application Support Technician off the back of a hugely successful year and continued growth! We are a software vendor that supplies solutions to the transport and warehousing industry with over 30 years’ experience in this sector and the software solutions that we provide will help the industry become more efficient with planning, job entry and invoicing. We also offer solutions to make life easier for their customers when inputting jobs and viewing the delivery information.

About the job!

The role would suit an experienced Application/Tech Support Technician who ideally has a background in Application Support.

You will use your advanced trouble shooting skills to identify any issues and bugs within the system reported to you by our customer base. You will need to be able to document steps to replicate this issue and escalate over to the Development team using the Escalation processes provided to you.

The successful candidate would join our Technical Support team in delivering exceptional customer service over the phone and by email.

What will you do?

  • You will be providing first and second line support of bespoke software applications.
  • Manage, triage and escalate or resolve customer issues, taking ownership of the issue from receipt through to resolution.

You will need to be able to clearly demonstrate a strong technical background and understanding of:

  • Extensive experience of software support, bespoke applications and SQL (Essential)
  • Experience and understanding of API’s, Web Services and Windows Processes (Essential)
  • Knowledge of relational databases mainly SQL (Essential)
  • Good scripting, analytical and troubleshooting skills (Essential)
  • Crystal Report Writing (Preferred)

Role

Our rapidly expanding software business is looking to recruit a personable individual to join our Customer Services team who is enthusiastic and will be the face of Vigo with our customers and also the customer champion internally. The successful candidate will need to be bought into to our customer service policies and live and breathe them at all times. They will be the first and sometimes only contact with Vigo and must represent the companies values. The issues that you will be dealing with are often time and business critical.

The successful candidate would join our Client Services Team in delivering exceptional customer service over the phone and by email. This is an extremely varied role where you will be the main point of contact for our customers and other internal teams for any customer related queries relating to the transport and warehousing software that we provide.

You will use your trouble shooting skills to identify the issues raised by customers, triage and assess the impact and if you cannot assist escalate accordingly.

You will work closely with the Technical Support teams to ensure we keep to the company standard SLA’s for the customer and ensure that the customer is kept fully up to date throughout. If for any reason we are going to breach SLA it would be your responsibility to escalate immediately.

Responsibilities within the role

  • Ensure all members of the team are engaged and understand what is needed in the absence of management.
  • Able to assess issues that others may be dealing with, analyse quickly and know when additional help is required – escalate as needed.
  • Work closely with customers to build rapport and work to achieve customer satisfaction at all times.
  • Take ownership for and follow through customer queries, communicating with suppliers when necessary to answer queries in full using troubleshooting skills.
  • Identify opportunities for additional service enhancements.


The Senior Client Services Co Ordinator must have the following skills/experience:

  • Extensive customer service experience either face to face or over the phone
  • Experience leading a small team within a customer service environment.
  • Good telephone manner with greeting all customer and being professional whilst resolving queries.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal, with professional and informative communication style.
  • Adapts quickly to changing prioritises and customer needs.

  • Manage the quotation process involving relevant management to ensure prices and costs are optimised.

  • Maintain effective internal communication to ensure that sales team are kept informed of sales objectives and developments, particularly in relation to current opportunities pipeline.
  • Monitor value of sales pipeline to ensure adequate values are maintained, ensuring conversion rates continually improve.
  • Contribute to the development of the company’ strategic plan, particularly in relation to sales objectives.

Software Implementation Engineer

We are looking for an enthusiastic transport or logistics professional to join our installation team delivering software solutions & training to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for implementing our products and services ensuring that the users are trained and that they utilise our best practice across their business.
  • You will liaise with multiple teams to understand what our clients’ objectives are and the timescales, and ensure that a survey is carried out in full before installation.
  • You will project manage and work alongside out other departments to implement the software, managing tickets and issues along the way and providing onsite and remote support during the go-live of the project at hand.

To be successful as our installations engineer you will be an excellent communicator, with a knack for multitasking and have amazing analytical and problem-solving skills.

What do we need from you?

  • Logistics knowledge in Transport and Warehousing processes.
  • Software implementation experience is an advantage.
  • Motivated to take end to end responsibility of project delivery.
  • Design & document business process flows.
  • Proficient Microsoft Excel Skills
  • A high standard of proven IT skills including the use of Microsoft Query, Visio, Word, PowerPoint.
