Auto Application Update Process

The Mobile Workforce application update process has been streamlined to ensure all users have the latest version of the software as soon as it becomes available, while minimising disruption to their workflow. The application now periodically checks for updates and downloads them in the background, without interrupting any schedules in progress. Users no longer need to close and reopen Mobile Workforce to check for updates, once a download starts it will continue even if the application is closed. When the download has finished, the user will be prompted to install it once the current schedule has been completed.

When an update is ready, the Mobile Workforce application will prompt the user to complete the install in the form of a dialogue box. Before the user can continue to use Mobile Workforce, the update must be installed:

Users must select OK to commence the update when prompted, an installation progress window will then be displayed. Once installation is complete the application will close, and a confirmation message will appear. Selecting the OPEN option when prompted, will open the freshly updated Mobile Workforce application.
